We are currently recruiting to find The Hills' first Zero DFV Community Facilitator.

Over the past decade, awareness of domestic and family violence (DFV) has surged across Australian communities, sparking the rise of community-led prevention efforts such as educational programs, response and support services, advocacy, fundraising events, and rallies.

While the increased momentum is welcome, community stakeholders have identified several emerging challenges hampering the community's progress toward a Zero DFV future.

These challenges include:

  • Poor visibility of all the activities underway
  • Scarce resources, spread thinly
  • Uncertainty about where to focus resources to maximise benefits
  • Limited communication between initiatives
  • Too much "reinventing the wheel"

ClickCollab addresses these challenges through a whole-of-community collaboration process known as the Zero DFV program.

The Community Facilitator role focuses on program logistics and coordination, fostering strong relationships, and encouraging collaboration among stakeholders and community members to achieve the community's Zero DFV vision and goals.

Some highlights of the role include:

  • Managing logistics and communications to enable the successful delivery of Zero DFV programs
  • Communicating with and coordinating community members to empower their participation in the program
  • Coordinating promotional activities throughout the community to amplify Zero DFV messaging
  • Identifying and communicating opportunities for improving processes

The role is currently under development and, therefore, we offer it as a part-time, short-term contract that may evolve into a full-time, permanent role in the future.
